This project focused on researching the dramaturgical world of Jan Micheál Rib’s plays to shape a performance approach grounded in clarity and imaginative stage language. I explored the plays’ key artistic qualities and translated them into practical considerations for our stage design and overall production concept.
To guide our decisions, I developed answers to foundational questions related to stage design—how the space should function, how visual elements communicate the work’s intent, and how these choices support the performance’s central method.
A core part of my role was ensuring coherence across the production by aligning the general performance approach with smaller, detailed elements such as acting method and actors’ makeup. I supported the team by designing working practices that helped actors and collaborators integrate these choices consistently throughout rehearsals.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
