This project investigates the dramaturgical structure of David Mamet’s Oleanna to map the work’s core performance approach. Through research, I identified power dynamics as the central theme and contributed to developing the performance concept in collaboration with the director.
My role included analyzing the cultural context of power and studying how different directorial approaches—across cultural frameworks—shape the portrayal of power on stage. I supported the adaptation of these approaches to Iranian cultural realities, with a focus on sensitive social themes such as sexuality and human rights.
In addition, I assisted with text editing based on our findings and provided production support by working with the performance team, including actors and other collaborators, to ensure the research-driven concept was translated effectively into stage performance.
